Spring 2024 Pilot Program

Our Spring 2024 Pilot Program will focus on one group of 8 students who would commit to weekly academic intervention and outdoor mentorship meetings with a Climb On mentor. These students would be recommended by teachers and counselors as those who need extra support academically and motivationally, and who the school team feels could benefit from an alternative approach in that academic support.

Each week, students will meet with their Climb On mentor once for academic support and goal setting, and one separate time for planned outdoor and adventure activities including rock climbing, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and more. These activities would be earned by students through progress towards their individual progress goals.

Through regular experiences that push students' comfort zones, build confidence, and instill a sense of belonging in the outdoors, students are able to approach their schoolwork with more resilience and long-term success.
